Attend our Tie One On Event

Join us on Wednesday, January 29, 2014  7:00 p.m. at the Lodge.  We will be tying fleece blankets that will go to the Cancer Center.

Make items to Give

Monthly, groups of volunteers visit the Cancer Center and hand out lap robes,  Cathy Caps, and surgical dolls, along with cake and general cheer.  There is a group in St. Paul, and one in St. Louis Park that meet monthly to make or collect items.

  • Lap Robes – Must measure 36 X 48 inches and be washable.  They may be quilted, with an anti-bacterial matting, knit, crocheted, or made of fleece.
  • Cathy Caps – These are for patients who are losing their hair due to treatments.  We accept sewn, knit or crocheted caps.
  • Surgical Dolls –  The dolls are used by doctors to show children about their upcoming treatments or surgeries.  There is an available pattern for these.

Groups will accept donations of fabric, yarn or money to purchase these items.
